Almost Half of Consumers Would Recommend a Product on Facebook
Are you on Facebook? What about your business (yes that is allowed!) If you aren’t, here’s some interesting facts that might make you reconsider…..According to a recent study by Performics and ROI Research, consumers are more willing to engage with and buy from brands on social networking sites.
Social media is massive and Facebook alone has over 350 million active users. Here’s another fact for you….Only 14% of people trust advertisements and only 18% of traditional TV campaigns generate a positive ROI, now compare this to…. thirty-four percent of people who have used a search engine to find information on a product/brand after seeing an advertisement or hearing about it on a social networking site. In addition, thirty percent have learned about a new product, service or brand from a social networking site. That’s pretty compelling stats!
Social media networking is creating some really positive changes in the way businesses market themselves (a bit of bad PR can be blown a long way in social media!) People are becoming the media and its becoming less about the biggest marketing budget and more about quality and content.
